This relatively new technique was developed in Japan in the 1980s. It produces the same effect as screen printing. The colours are vivid and pure and have a similar transparent quality to screen printed inks, producing eye-catching results as they are overlaid. Riso printing allows Marenthe to play; she can create more in less time and the end result retains the vibrancy and dynamic quality she so loves.
